Hi folks. I've just got a Nokia N70 from Orange Ltd yesterday. everything was fine till it came to presenting some form of ID which we needed to prove we live at our home address, which was a new one for us. Anyway, mum had to go back with her passport, driving license or whatever which had our address on it this morning so we could pick the phone up. Then it came to putting the battery in so we can charge the phone ready for posting to Computer room Services on Tuesday. Trouble is, we can't get in the battery compartment or the sim card. We slid the back covdr forwards and pressed the square button like it said in the instructions, but nothing happened. Where do we go from here? Do we take the phone back to Orange and ask them nicely to show us how it's done? Is the phone actually faulty so we have to take it back anyway? or do you have to unclip the battery compartmentt or should it just flip open? if the said battery compartment is supposed to flip open, is there a piece of tape or something holding it shut? Mum couldn't see a join where it should open or anything.

Any Zoners with an N70 phone out there! help help help!

I don't have your exact number but I have a nokia phone. I would check for a sticker or a peace of tape that could be possibly holding it on. Mine I just held down the button on the compartment cover and lifted it off. From there the battery goes in with the sticker facing up. If this doesn't work call the company and let them know of the problem.

Cheers. Mum said there wasn't a piece of tape holding the battery cover on. My grandad's taking it back to Orange today anyway, see if they can do it.
